Celebrate the Platinum Jubilee in Banffshire!

On 7 February 2022, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service.

A huge variety of events are taking place in communities all over Banffshire to mark Platinum Jubilee Weekend, from Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June.  Picnics, street parties, beacon lighting, equestrian events, pipe bands, tree planting, children's activities... get involved and enjoy the celebrations!

"Those who planned these events are to be congratulated.  It is wonderful to see how the organisers from across Banffshire have put together such a wide range of activities for young and not so young.  These activities will not only mark the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen, but will also allow communities to come together and build partnerships for the future.  I hope that all who attend will enjoy the different activities.”

Andrew Simpson, Lord-Lieutenant of Banffshire
