Banffshire in 100 Places
The Banffshire in 100 Places project seeks to celebrate the rich and diverse places in historic Banffshire. The aim is to encourage both local residents and visitors to explore the county. The entries will be published in book form. Any profits will be used to support local Banffshire charities.
The book will be A5 size and each entry will be on one page and should include:
-
Photograph(s) – preferably colour and taken by the contributor or friend and be copyright free. These should be emailed as JPEG or PNG files.
-
Brief description of the place (approximately 150 words) describing particular points of interest and explaining why the place is “special” – e.g. historical, heritage, architectural, environmental or anecdotal.
-
Short notes on access to visiting the place.
It is suggested that many articles will focus on specific features of interest about a place rather than a general description of a village or town. Draft sample pages are available.
